Friday Forecast
Clouds will stick around through much of the morning, but gradual clearing is expected by this afternoon. Temperatures will climb to a warm high near 87 degrees, with light winds shifting out of the west around 6 mph. Rain that was just to the east of the county is moving southeast and no longer a threat to the area.
Friday Night
Cloud cover will return overnight, with lows dipping to around 71 degrees. Southwest winds will continue between 6 and 8 mph, keeping the air a bit muggy heading into Saturday.
Saturday Outlook
Saturday will begin mostly cloudy, especially in the early morning hours, but sunshine will break through by late morning into the afternoon. Expect a high near 85 degrees, with west-southwest winds increasing to 9 to 11 mph and gusts up to 23 mph. It will feel breezy at times, but dry weather will hold through the day.
Saturday Night & Sunday
Skies turn partly cloudy Saturday night with lows around 67. Sunday brings a mix of sun and clouds with a pleasant high near 82. Winds will be light, shifting westward through the day, making it a comfortable afternoon for any outdoor activities.
Looking Ahead
The dry pattern holds through Monday, but by Tuesday night, rain and storm chances return with a 40% chance of scattered activity. Until then, enjoy the mostly dry and seasonable stretch of weather.
Bottom Line
Clouds may start your weekend, but by Saturday afternoon and Sunday, Rowan County will be back under the sun. Whether you're heading out to an event, working in the yard, or just relaxing, conditions look favorable for all your weekend plans.
