Kannapolis Cannonballers Ready to Fire on Opening Day

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — April 4, 2025 — The buzz is back in downtown Kannapolis as the Cannonballers take the field tonight for their much-anticipated Opening Day at Atrium Health Ballpark. With a fresh roster, high expectations, and a stadium full of hometown pride, the 2025 season is officially underway.

Fans are expected to fill the stands under clear skies, enjoying not just baseball, but a full night of festivities to kick off the new season. The first pitch is set for 7:00 PM, with pre-game ceremonies and player introductions.

The Cannonballers are opening the season against the Hickory Crawdads, setting the stage for what promises to be a competitive series. This year’s squad features a mix of returning players and exciting new prospects, many of whom will be making their debut under the stadium lights tonight.

Manager Chad Pinder is optimistic about the team’s chances this season.
