Rowan-Salisbury School System
Wednesday, February 4 will be a remote learning day for students due to lingering packed snow and ice on secondary roads.
Students should continue working on assignments posted in Canvas and SeeSaw and watch for instructions from their school regarding any synchronous learning opportunities.
Staff will support remote learning and should follow guidance from their supervisor. RSS facilities will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for staff only. Employees reporting to a work site should use caution during their commute and while on campus.
All RSS buildings are closed to the public. All afternoon and evening activities are cancelled.
Kannapolis City Schools
All Kannapolis City Schools buildings will remain closed to students on Wednesday due to continued icy road conditions.
Students will participate in remote learning. Schools will share any additional assignments and expectations directly with families.
Staff should plan to work remotely and monitor district and supervisor communications for specific instructions. Some buildings will be open for staff who need an on-campus workspace. A list of those locations will be shared via email later this evening.
Information regarding Thursday operations will be shared as conditions allow. Families and staff should continue to monitor district communications.

Town of Rockwell – Town Hall
Rockwell Town Hall will be closed to the public on Wednesday due to weather conditions and slick sidewalks.
No in-person services will be available. Town staff will be reachable by phone and email only between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
