But that's not all — RPL will have fun travel-themed activities and programs for adventurers of all ages! Whether you're dreaming of distant lands or planning a road trip, there will be something for everyone to enjoy throughout the day. Children go an Adventure Storytime Rowan Public Library Headquarters

Price Free Description Visit the children's room at RPL Headquarters (Salisbury) for a travel-inspired story time as part of an all-day, adventure-themed celebration. This story time will follow the traditional preschool story time format with picture book read-aloud, songs, and action rhymes for 3–6-year-olds and their caregivers, though all are welcome. 12th Annual Wine About Winter

Enjoy this event as a night out with friends, and family, or make it a date night by touring the wines of Rowan County and beyond. Participating shops and restaurants in Downtown Salisbury will each be assigned a specific wine.

NEW This year we are changing the cups to be “social district” cups allowing ticket holders to leave the business with their wine. Free trolley shuttle services will be provided for quick travel to and from all locations.

Again, this year will be “Snack Stops”. Check your tasting pass for participating restaurants, shops, and boutiques serving a variety of free samples for you to enjoy throughout the night. Tasting passes will not be punched for food samples. This is a free addition to enhance your experience at Wine About Winter.

Tickets are $36 per person in advance and $44 on event day, if not sold out. *Additional processing fees and tax not included. Wine About Winter tickets include:

AGE RESTRICTION: All ticket holders must be 21 years old or above. State-issued photo I.D. showing date of birth is required for each ticket holder to pick up your tickets (regardless of age). Each ticket holder must be present when checking in or purchasing tickets.

Ticket holders will check in at the Paul E. Fisher Gateway Building (Visitors Center) located at 204 E. Innes St. Doors will open at 4 p.m. Businesses will not start serving wine until 5 p.m.

“Tales and Treasures from the History Room”  Gretchen Beilfuss Witt is the Supervisor of the Rowan Public Library’s Edith M. Clark History Room.  Gretchen grew up in Indiana and studied History and Religion at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana.  She returned to NC, landing in Salisbury where she worked for Catwaba College whilst earning a teaching certification.  She worked as an office manager while studying for a master’s degree in Library Science at UNC-G.  She coordinates and leads a variety of local history and genealogy programs collaborating with the Genealogical Society of Rowan County and the Rowan Museum.
