Moderate Drought Conditions in Rowan County

Three weeks ago I reported that abnormally dry conditions had returned to the county. Unfortunately since that time, Dry conditions have continues to persist. We are now over one month since any measurable rainfall fell at the Mid-Carolina Airport.

9/19/19 Drought Update

As we continue to remain in dry conditions around the area. All of Rowan County is now under abnormally dry conditions with regards to Drought. This is the beginning of what could lead to Stage 1 Drought conditions around the county if we do not get some much needed rainfall soon.

Good Sunday morning. Hurricane Dorian has now become a Category 5 storm. This is the 4th straight year a Hurricane has become a Category 5 storm in the Atlantic.
