Celebrating 13 Years of Rowan County Weather

SALISBURY, N.C. — Today marks a milestone that is difficult to put into words. Rowan County Weather is officially celebrating 13 years of serving Rowan County and the surrounding communities.

What started on July 29, 2013, with a passion for weather and a desire to keep our community informed has grown into something I never could have imagined. Over the past 13 years, Rowan County Weather has become a trusted source for daily forecasts, severe weather coverage, breaking weather updates, and community information.

From sunny days and snowstorms to hurricanes, tornado warnings, flooding events, and everything in between, my goal has always been simple: provide timely, accurate, and easy-to-understand weather information when people need it most.

Over the years, Rowan County Weather has expanded far beyond daily forecasts. Today you'll find video forecasts, live severe weather coverage, radar updates, weather articles, air quality reports, pollen forecasts, UV forecasts, special event forecasts, and partnerships with local businesses and community organizations—all focused on helping keep our community informed.

None of this would be possible without you.

Whether you've been following since the very beginning or just recently discovered Rowan County Weather, every view, share, comment, and word of encouragement has helped make these 13 years possible. During severe weather, your reports from across the county have also become an invaluable part of keeping everyone informed.

One of the greatest blessings has been the relationships built along the way. I've had the opportunity to meet so many incredible people, work alongside first responders, emergency management officials, schools, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders—all united by a common goal of serving Rowan County.
