Tomorrow’s Pollen Index: 7.5 — Medium-High

Today’s Top Allergens

  • Maple
  • Hickory
  • Birch

The combination of sunshine, warm temperatures, and breezy afternoon conditions will continue allowing tree pollen to stay elevated. Some people sensitive to seasonal allergies may continue experiencing symptoms such as sneezing, itchy eyes, congestion, and throat irritation.

There is some good news ahead though — increasing rain chances later this week could help temporarily lower pollen levels heading into the weekend.

If you suffer from allergies:
• Limit prolonged outdoor exposure during the afternoon
• Keep windows closed when possible
• Consider changing clothes after spending extended time outside
• Check air filters in vehicles and homes

Rain and thunderstorm chances increase beginning Thursday afternoon and continue into the weekend, which should gradually help improve pollen conditions locally.
