Cheerwine Festival 2026 Forecast Looking Fantastic for Salisbury

Monday, May 11, 2026 - 8:24am

The forecast continues to trend very favorable for the upcoming Cheerwine Festival in downtown Salisbury, and confidence is growing that festivalgoers will enjoy one of the warmest and driest festival days in recent memory.

As of the latest forecast update, Saturday is expected to feature sunny skies with a high near 86 degrees. Saturday night will remain pleasant with partly cloudy skies and temperatures falling to around 61 degrees.

After several weeks of active weather patterns across the Carolinas, conditions are expected to calm considerably heading into festival weekend. High pressure and building warmth over the Southeast will help keep rain chances away from the area while allowing temperatures to climb well above average for mid-May.

For those attending the festival, the biggest weather story may actually become the warmth during the afternoon hours. With full sunshine and temperatures pushing into the mid 80s, it will feel more like early summer across downtown Salisbury.

Festivalgoers are encouraged to:

  • Stay hydrated throughout the day
  • Take breaks in shaded areas when possible
  • Wear sunscreen and lightweight clothing
  • Plan for warmer pavement and asphalt temperatures downtown

As the official weather partner for the festival, Rowan County Weather will continue working closely with festival organizers and emergency management officials leading up to the event to monitor forecast trends and provide updates if anything changes.

At this point, however, the overall forecast setup looks excellent for crowds, vendors, live music, food, and all the activities planned throughout downtown Salisbury.

Current Cheerwine Festival Forecast:

  • Saturday: Sunny, high near 86°
  • Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, low around 61°

Additional forecast updates will continue throughout the week on Rowan County Weather social media platforms and video forecast updates.
