The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning that includes southern Davidson County.
The warning is in effect until 11:00 AM EDT.
The warning also includes portions of Stanly, Montgomery, Randolph, Anson, and Guilford counties.

At 10:19 AM, Doppler radar indicated a line of severe thunderstorms extending from near High Rock Lake to near Unionville, moving northeast at 55 mph.
This fast-moving line of storms will continue pushing across the central North Carolina Piedmont through the late morning hours.
