Rowan County Pollen Outlook

Monday, March 16, 2026 - 8:17am

Today’s Pollen Level: 4.3 — Low to Medium

Pollen levels across Rowan County are moderate today, with tree pollen continuing to dominate the allergen list as we move deeper into early spring.

Top Allergens Today:

  • Maple

  • Elm

  • Juniper

Rain and thunderstorms moving through the area this morning should help temporarily knock pollen levels down, which may provide some short-term relief for allergy sufferers.

Tomorrow’s Pollen Outlook: 9 — Medium to High

Pollen levels are expected to increase sharply tomorrow as sunshine returns and winds pick up behind the cold front. Dry air and breezy conditions often allow pollen to spread more easily across the region.

That means allergy symptoms such as:

  • Sneezing

  • Runny nose

  • Itchy eyes

may become more noticeable Tuesday.

Rowan County Weather Tip:
After the rain moves out today, wash vehicles and outdoor surfaces if possible. Pollen will likely begin accumulating again quickly once dry weather returns.

Rowan County Weather will continue posting daily pollen outlook updates as tree pollen season ramps up across the Piedmont.
