Wednesday, December 10, 2025 - 10:36pm

A clearing trend is underway across the region as the earlier cloud deck begins to break apart behind the departing cold front. Temperatures will fall quickly overnight as winds diminish and drier air settles in. Below is the full county-by-county outlook.

Rowan County

Overcast skies persist this evening with temperatures near 48°F. Humidity is around 55%, and west winds are blowing at 9 mph with occasional gusts to 16 mph. The wind chill is currently 44°F. Visibility remains excellent at 10 miles.

Tonight:
Skies will gradually clear overnight as high pressure builds in from the west. Lows will fall to around 29°F. A light west-southwest wind near 7 mph continues through the night but will weaken toward daybreak.

Colder, drier air arriving behind the front will support a noticeably colder start to Thursday, with radiational cooling more effective once clearing completes.

Tonight:
Skies become mostly clear overnight. Temperatures fall to around 28°F. A steady west wind near 7 mph will continue into the early morning hours.

Davie County will experience similar conditions to Rowan, with clearing skies and continued cooling as high pressure builds across the western Carolinas.

Davidson County

Current Conditions:
Overcast and slightly cooler, with temperatures near 47°F and 56% humidity. Winds are west at 6 mph with gusts reaching 17 mph. Wind chill values sit near 44°F and visibility is 10 miles.

Davidson County will transition into a colder, clearer overnight pattern similar to its neighbors, with high pressure settling overhead by early Thursday.
