Morning Arrival (6–8 AM)

Temperatures begin in the 31–33 degree range across Rowan County with a light southwest wind developing. Wind chills will feel a bit cooler, in the upper 20s at times. Skies will be mostly clear to partly sunny, allowing temperatures to rise steadily after sunrise.

Davie and Davidson Counties start the morning with similar conditions, generally near 30–32 degrees with early southwest flow.

Afternoon Dismissal (2–4 PM)

Rowan County warms into the upper 40s to lower 50s, reaching a high near 53 degrees. Sunshine will be dominant, but southwest winds will become breezy, with gusts between 25 and 33 mph. Students may notice the stronger winds at open-area campuses and bus stops.

Davie County winds trend slightly lighter during the afternoon, while Davidson County may experience some of the highest gusts in the region.
