Morning Arrival (6–8 AM)
Patchy fog is possible early, especially before 9am. Temperatures will be near freezing, and with earlier precipitation and colder overnight conditions, there is a potential for some light icing to develop on elevated surfaces such as bridges, overpasses, and untreated secondary roads. Skies will begin clearing through the morning with light and variable winds.
As of this posting, Rowan–Salisbury Schools have not made any announcements regarding delays or cancellations for Tuesday. I will continue to monitor conditions overnight.
Afternoon Dismissal (2–4 PM)
Mostly sunny with temperatures rising into the upper 30s, reaching a high near 39 degrees. Roads should be in good shape by dismissal time, with no weather-related issues expected.
Overnight Note
Temperatures fall into the upper 20s tonight, and with calm winds before midnight, any lingering moisture could refreeze in colder pockets. Use caution if traveling early Tuesday morning.
