Pollen:
Pollen levels remain very low across Rowan County this weekend. Tree, grass, and weed pollen are all at minimal concentrations, meaning little to no impact for those with seasonal allergies. Winds will stay light through much of the weekend, helping to keep conditions stable.
Air Quality:
Air quality across the Salisbury area remains in the “Good” to low “Moderate” range. The main pollutant at this time is fine particulate matter (PM2.5). With calm weather conditions and no nearby smoke or haze sources, outdoor activities should be comfortable for most people.
Soil Temperature:
Soil temperatures across the county remain mild but are starting to cool quickly as colder air arrives early next week. Readings are currently in the upper 50s to near 60°F at a 4-inch depth. By midweek, those values will likely drop into the 40s after Monday night’s hard freeze.
Summary:
-
Pollen: Low
-
Air Quality: Good to Moderate
-
Soil Temperature: Cooling, upper 50s to near 60°F
Note: Monday will be the final Pollen, Air Quality, and Soil Temperature Forecast of the season. These updates will return in the spring when local vegetation begins its early growth cycle again.
