Thunderstorm Risk for Today

The Storm Prediction Center includes Rowan County in a general thunderstorm risk area for today .

This means a few isolated showers or rumbles of thunder are possible later tonight as a weak system approaches. Widespread severe weather is not expected, but a stray lightning strike or brief downpour can’t be ruled out.

Most of the day stays dry and mild, with increasing clouds toward evening.
