Pollen Outlook

  • Pollen levels are very low to none across the area, with tree, grass, and weed pollen all registering minimal counts.

  • Ragweed, the usual fall trigger, is also showing little activity today.

  • With showers expected and increased cloud cover, any pollen spikes are unlikely to be significant.

Air Quality Forecast

  • Current target AQI (Air Quality Index): about 31 (Good) for Salisbury.

  • Longer-term forecast: air quality is expected to stay in the Good to low-Moderate range, with occasional slight increases due to fine particulates (PM2.5).

  • Health note: Most people can continue outdoor activities without concern, though those with respiratory sensitivities should monitor extended exposure during gusty or dry periods.

Soil Temperature Forecast

  • At the 10 cm depth, the local station (SALI / ECONet) currently reports soil temperatures around 70.3 °F (±0.7 °F in recent 24h) for Salisbury.

  • Regional trends (Piedmont) suggest that soil temps will gradually cool through the week, edging toward the upper 60s °F as nights grow cooler.

  • Under sunny afternoons, surface soil (top few inches) may warm into the low 70s °F, but pre-dawn lows will pull temperatures back down.
