Dry and stable air is expected to limit development during the next couple of days. However, gradual organization is anticipated later this week as the system tracks west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph across the central tropical Atlantic.
At this time, the NHC gives the disturbance a low (10 percent) chance of development within the next 48 hours but a high (70 percent) chance of becoming a tropical depression within the next seven days.
Residents and those with interests across the Atlantic basin should monitor updates from the National Hurricane Center in the coming days.
