Friday Night Lights Weather: Cooler and Comfortable for High School Football

Rowan County fans heading out to the stadiums tonight can expect comfortable late-summer football weather. High pressure remains in control across the region, keeping skies mostly clear and temperatures just below seasonal normals.

This evening, temperatures will start out in the upper 70s to near 80 around kickoff, falling into the upper 60s by the fourth quarter. Winds will be light, and humidity levels are manageable, making for some of the best football weather we’ve seen so far this season.
