Rowan County Sports Spotlight: Volleyball & Soccer Momentum

Several Rowan County teams are building early-season momentum with strong performances on the courts, fields, and courses this week.

Soccer Action
Salisbury boys’ soccer continued its strong start with a decisive 5-1 win over Trinity. The Hornets’ attack kept pressure throughout the match, finishing with goals from multiple players to seal the victory. Meanwhile, East Rowan made an offensive statement of its own, rolling to a 7-1 win and showing early signs of a team ready to compete in every match.

Volleyball Highlights
On the volleyball court, Salisbury posted another victory with a home win over North Rowan. The Hornets are finding their rhythm early and will be back in action again with a quick turnaround against South Rowan.

Tennis and Golf Results
South Rowan women’s tennis secured an 8-1 victory over J.M. Robinson, showing depth across both singles and doubles play. On the golf course, South Rowan’s Sara Culbert led the Raiders with a score of 38 at Warrior Golf Club, finishing third overall in a competitive match.
