We're now just two days away from the 2025 Cheerwine Festival, and the Thursday forecast update shows continued confidence in a warm day with a few timing adjustments in the rain outlook for downtown Salisbury on Saturday, May 17.

Here’s where the outlook stands today:


Saturday, May 17 Forecast (as of Thursday, May 15):

  • Morning: A few scattered showers or thunderstorms are possible before 11 AM, especially north and west of Salisbury. Temperatures will start in the upper 60s to near 70°F. Conditions are expected to improve by late morning.

  • Midday to Afternoon: Partly to mostly sunny and warm, with highs reaching the upper 80s. Humidity will increase, and it will feel quite warm between 1–4 PM.

  • After 3 PM: Currently no rain expected. Forecast models have trended drier for the afternoon and evening hours.

  • Evening: Mostly clear with temps slowly dropping through the mid 70s. Comfortable conditions expected during the final events and cleanup.
