The regular season is over, and now the playoff road begins across Rowan County.
Several local baseball and softball teams are ready to make their postseason runs, with tournament games starting tonight.

Here’s a look at where Rowan County teams stand heading into the first round of playoff action — with updated seedings, matchups, and coverage plans.

East Rowan Mustangs

Baseball:
East Rowan finished with a 13–3 conference record, securing the #1 seed in the South Piedmont Conference Baseball Tournament.

• First Round: East Rowan will host #8 seed Concord tonight at Staton Field.

• Notable: East swept West Rowan during the regular season to win the tiebreaker for the top seed.

Softball:
East Rowan’s softball team finished the regular season 15–1, also earning the #1 seed in the SPC Softball Tournament.

Baseball:
Carson earned the #3 seed in the SPC Baseball Tournament with an 11–5 conference record.

Softball:
Carson softball opens on the road tonight against a higher-seeded team in the SPC Tournament.

South Rowan Raiders

Baseball:
South Rowan finished 9–7 in SPC play and secured the #4 seed.

• First Round: South Rowan hosts #5 seed Northwest Cabarrus tonight.

Softball:
South Rowan’s softball team is also opening tournament play at home.
