
Paap, Salemi, Dutton, Powers, L. Tanner and Vincent Early Leaders in PDRA East Coast Nationals Qualifying
The 2025 Summit Racing PDRA East Coast Nationals presented by FuelTech is underway at GALOT Motorsports Park in Benson, North Carolina, marking the start of the Red Line Oil Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) Drag Racing Series’ 2025 season.
In the initial rounds of qualifying, several drivers have secured provisional No. 1 positions in their respective categories:
• Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous: Rookie driver Tim Paap has taken the provisional top spot.
• WS Construction Pro Boost presented by P2 Contracting and Ty-Drive: Melanie Salemi leads a competitive field.
• Liberty’s Gears Pro Street presented by Menscer Motorsports: Another rookie, Tim Dutton, has achieved the provisional No. 1 position.
• AED Competition Fuel Systems Extreme Pro Stock presented by Jon Kaase Racing Engines: Reigning world champion Chris Powers has secured the top spot.
• PTC Converters Pro 632: Lexi Tanner has taken the provisional No. 1 position.
• PDRA Super Street presented by Brian’s Heating & Cooling: Austin Vincent leads the category.
In the sportsman classes, the provisional leaders are:
• MagnaFuel Elite Top Sportsman presented by PAR Racing Engines: Glenn Butcher.
• Laris Motorsports Insurance Elite Top Dragster presented by Greenbrier Excavating & Paving: Jody Stroud.
• MagnaFuel Top Sportsman: Steve Furr.
• Laris Motorsports Insurance Top Dragster presented by Derrick Wolfe Trucking: John Platt Jr.
