“Our Whelen Chevrolet was fast tonight. After starting at the rear of the field due to unapproved adjustments, we steadily worked our way forward during Stage 1. Our car was too tight, but we could still pass cars. There was one run where we fell back, but Danny (Stockman, crew chief) made good adjustments on the next stop and got the car driving better. I felt like we had a car that could have won tonight. I gave a lot when I didn’t want to and just tried to keep our car clean until the end. It wasn’t the way we wanted to end our night but looks like the No. 16 and No. 21 got together going into Turn 1 and I came out on the bad end of it. The damage was too much to keep going. I hate it for our Richard Childress Racing team because they prepared a fast car.”

“I can’t thank everyone on this Bennett Transportation & Logistics team enough. Our Chevrolet wasn’t the fastest car, but we kept ourselves in the hunt. We restarted seventh on the last green-white-checkered, and I chose bottom because of how rough everyone was on restarts. That last restart was wild though. I knew that they were all going to beat and bang getting into Turn 3, so I drove in as deep as I could. I made a little contact with the No. 7, ended up on the apron, and came home with the win. To win Richard (Childress) and everyone at RCR the 100th win for our Xfinity Series program is special. I’m in disbelief that we are in Victory Lane. To top it off, we also won the Xfinity Dash 4 Cash and are taking home $100 grand. What a night for our No. 21 team and the entire organization.”
