Due to on-going road condition issues in the eastern part of our county, bus transportation will not be provided for the students who live in the following attendance zones: Morgan Elementary, Granite Quarry Elementary, Rockwell Elementary, Shive Elementary, Erwin Middle, and East Rowan High. We ask that families that live in these attendance zones assess the road conditions and consider the risk of travel. For this reason, all student absences tomorrow at the affected schools that are due to weather-related travel restrictions will be marked as excused with a note sent in by parents/ guardians.   

 We understand this decision is unusual and may cause some further disruption for families. RSS makes these decisions based on student safety and the need to get students back to school and learning in a face-to-face environment. If you have questions or concerns about the school day tomorrow, please feel free to reach out to your school's principal.
