Closings and Delays Friday 1/10/2025

St. John's Child Development Center will operate from 6:30 am to 1:30 pm on Friday, January 10, 2025. All children must be picked up before 1:30 pm.

Davidson County Schools will have a Remote Learning Day for students Friday January 10th, 2025 for students. Staff will report to work as normal. 

Faith Academy Charter School will have a Remote Learning Day for Friday January 10th, 2025. Teachers will send instructions for assignments to be completed and returned. A final decision for Monday January 13th will be made on Sunday. 

Tomorrow, Friday, January 10, will be a remote eLearning day for students.

After consulting local weather agencies, the arrival time continues to shift for the winter weather expected in Rowan County. RSS believes many of our roads could present a hazardous situation for our buses and student drivers who would be traveling home from school.

Schools will send out instructions for students to complete remote work for today. As always, students have five days (Friday, January 17) to submit remote eLearning assignments for attendance and grading credit. All extracurricular activities are canceled for Friday, January 10, and Saturday, January 11.

RSS Staff should follow instructions from direct supervisors concerning work for tomorrow.

Due to the potential for severe weather conditions, Catawba College will operate on a Remote Working Schedule tomorrow, January 10th, to ensure the safety of our campus community.

 Faculty and staff should plan to work their regularly scheduled hours remotely if possible.

 Essential employees will report to work unless otherwise directed by supervisors. Dining services will continue to operate as normally scheduled.

Rowan Cabarrus YMCA

FRIDAY, JANUARY 10: 

All Rowan-Cabarrus YMCA branches will be open 5am-12pm. 

Group Exercise and Playhouse will operate regularly until the facility closes at 12pm.

We will not run Kids Day Out. 

SATURDAY, JANUARY 11:

We will delay opening to evaluate road conditions in the morning and make an announcement by 10am. 

North Carolina Transportation Museum 

Due to winter weather conditions our site will close at 1pm today Friday January 10th
