* Flash Flood Warning for...
Rowan County in the piedmont of North Carolina...
* Until noon EDT.
* At 620 AM EDT, Rainfall accumulations so far early this morning
ranged from 2 to 2.5 inches along and south of the I-85 corridor.
As tropical rain bands continue to overspread the warned area this
morning, an additional 1 to 3 inches of rain is expected. Flash
flooding will develop as the morning wears on. Stay tuned for
additional details and possibly upgraded flash flood threat levels.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Gauges reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
