advertise your local business here »Scattered showers and thunderstorms will move into our area from the west on Sunday. A few of these storms could become severe and produce damaging wind gusts and large hail.

- Showers and thunderstorms are expected to move over the NC mountains Sunday afternoon and spread eastward thru the evening.
- The latest guidance suggests that storms could linger thru late Sunday night, especially over the I-77 corridor and the eastern SC Upstate. Most of the thunderstorm activity should diminish by midnight
- Localized damaging wind gusts (58+ mph)
- Isolated large hail (1 inch or greater).
- Heavy downpours could produce isolated flash flooding.
- The Slight Risk area for Sunday may be expanded further east
Additional thunderstorms are likely on Monday as a cold front moves through the western Carolinas. Some of these storms may pose a severe threat to our area.
