advertise your local business here »A strong weather system will move into the area from the west Wednesday. Strong to severe thunderstorms will develop by the early afternoon and track east of the area by mid-evening.
TIMING
▪ Isolated general thunderstorms are probable around mid-morning across NE GA and the Upstate.
▪ Scattered or line-segment thunderstorms will develop around 2 PM west of I-26 and push east into the evening. Severe weather threat for the county and the surrounding counties looks to be from 3pm to 6pm
HAZARDS & IMPACTS
▪ Strong damaging winds (58+ mph).
▪ Large hail (1 inch or greater)
▪ Heavy rainfall rates (Localized flooding possible)
▪ A couple tornadoes are also possible

▪ The overall coverage of severe storms outside the mountains due to warm mid-level air possibly limiting development.
▪ Confidence on the organization potential is below average. Greater organization could lead to a higher severe and tornado threat.
