Smith Heritage Invitational Bridges History, Artistry With World's Most Sought-After Automobiles

CONCORD, NC (March 29, 2024) -- A never-before-seen field of champion race cars, iconic classics and innovative automobiles will come together for the second annual Smith Heritage Invitational on Saturday, April 6, at the famed Charlotte Motor Speedway. The collection brings some of the most sought-after automobiles in the world to the public for a single-day event to celebrate all things automotive.

“The original idea behind the Smith Heritage Invitational was to bring together some of the world’s premier collectors and cars to celebrate history and innovation in the car community,” said Greg Walter, executive vice president and general manager of Charlotte Motor Speedway. “This year’s collection hits all of those marks with an eye-popping list that spans more than a century of automotive excellence.”

This carefully curated assemblage of cars represents a cross-section of history, artistry and innovation. Renowned automotive collectors such as J.R. Amantea, Wayne Carini, Rick Hendrick and Rob Kauffman will help create a once-in-a-lifetime display on the infield of Charlotte Motor Speedway, as part of AutoFair.

From the first Indianapolis 500-winning car to the last car personally approved for production by Enzo Ferrari, guests in attendance for the Smith Heritage Invitational will hear the stories of each of these inspiring automobiles directly from their owners and curators. The event will be held in the infield of Charlotte Motor Speedway from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. as part of the four-day AutoFair.
