The Crown kicked off its third season in Major League Soccer with a 1-0 home opener win over New York City FC last Saturday, February 24. Defender Adilson Malanda scored the game-winning goal in the 8th minute, and new Head Coach Dean Smith's team was sound and effective defensively to see out the home win.
Tomorrow's match is the first of three away trips in three weeks, with Toronto and Nashville to follow. It is a pivotal road stretch before returning home to Charlotte for matches against the reigning MLS Cup Champions (Columbus Crew on March 23) and the defending Supporter's Shield Champions (FC Cincinnati on March 30).
The weather forecast for the match has a 60% chance of showers with temperatures around first kick at 35° It will be a cold wet night for the crown as they try to continue to heat it up on the pitch.
