Charlotte FC 3 - 0 Phoenix Rising

CHARLOTTE, NC (Wednesday, February 14, 2024) – Charlotte FC beat Phoenix Rising 3-0 today in a preseason friendly behind goals from Nick Scardina, Nimfasha Berchimas, and Adilson Malanda.

Scardina opened the scoring only a few minutes into the first half. Berchimas, CLTFC's 15-year-old Homegrown, doubled the advantage in the second half for his first goal for the Club before Malanda sealed the victory with a header late on.

George Marks played the full 90 minutes in net and secured the team's third shutout in preseason. Midfielder Djibril Diani also made his first CLTFC appearance after joining the team from French club SM Caen this week.

The match was a closed-door preseason match in Indio, California and was not part of the Coachella Valley Invitational. CLTFC has one match remaining in the preseason tournament, which will be streamed live for free at CharlotteFootballClub.com/live.
