The second longest snow drought in recorded history for the county only to the all-time drought number for snow of 1103 days ranging from December 19th, 1989, to December 26th, 1992.
The average temperature for the year combining all the high and low temperatures for the year was 61° tying us for 23rd warmest year on record all time for the county.
Total rainfall for 2023 was 49.13 inches of rainfall coming in as the 34th wettest year on record for the county.
One benefit to 2023 for us was the lack of days with a high temperature of 90° or more. We only had 30 days with a high temperature of 90° or more last year tying us for 26th all time for the county.
Overall, 2023 had its memorable weather moments for all of us in some way. Now we look ahead to what the remainder of 2024 has in store for us and how it will eventually stack up in the weather history books.
