...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 AM EST EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by runoff from recent excessive rainfall is
occurring.

* WHERE...A portion of Rowan County in Piedmont North Carolina.

* WHEN...Until 445 AM EST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding of low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 142 AM EST, Stream gauges reported minor flooding along
North Second Creek near Woodleaf due to the recent heavy
rainfall. Additional light showers may affect the area
through the early morning hours to keep stream levels
elevated.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Piedmont Research Station.
- Flooding is most likely to affect the vicinity of North
Second Creek south of Woodleaf. Low water crossings may be
affected on White Road, Lyerly Road, Upright Road, Graham
Road, Childers Road, and Bear Poplar Road.

or property to the National Weather Service Greenville-Spartanburg
by calling toll free, 1, 800, 2 6 7, 8 1 0 1, by posting on our

should describe the specific location where impacts occurred and the
depth of flooding observed.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
