IAMercy.org is a story that will touch your soul

Yesterday while attending the weekly church service at Crossroads Church in Concord where my family go. Just before our Pastor came up to give the sermon a guest speaker was introduced to tell the congregation about his ministry IAMercy.org In the five minutes that Seth Johnson spoke to the congregation I was touched and amazed by what his ministry is doing. 

In a message on the home page for the IAMercy website the following reads. 

The very poor in Kenya's slums are threatened by lack of reliable shelter, food, clothing, education, and health care. We aim to ally with others to empower life, embrace love, and equip leaders - in Christ's name - among the international poor.  International Alliance for Mercy (IAMercy) has a number of programs designed to help the poor and vulnerable. Our current focus is on the Kawangware slum of Nairobi. Our mission is to transform Kawangware with the mercy of Christ. We invite you to learn more about our various programs below. I spoke with Seth today about IAMercy and was blessed to hear even more of the story about IAMercy and what the ministry has been doing. The below video is the interview in its entirety. Seth tells us about so many great things with the ministry as well as the story of Vincent. Vincent's story caught my attention because Seth stated that Vincent is an excellent soccer player. For those of you who follow my weather coverage you know I am actively involved in Charlotte FC and reporting on their matches, players and various things that organization is doing. Vincent has lived a life that would likely destroy most of us with the way of life we are accustomed too. Vincent was able to rise up and overcome situations in his life that will tug at your heart strings.
