ESPN College Gameday coming to Charlotte

If you are an avid college football fan like I am. You likely spend many of your Saturday mornings in the fall and early winter tuning into ESPN's College Gameday. The iconic show announced it is coming to Charlotte for the season opening matchup between the North Carolina Tarheels and the South Carolina Gamecocks. 

The Tarheels and Gamecocks will square off in the Dukes Mayo Classic at Bank of America Stadium on September 2nd. Prior to the game ESPN will broadcast College Gameday from Romare Bearden Park that morning. The park has been a location for the sportscast in previous college matchups at the bank. Most notably Clemson vs Georgia in 2021 as well as ACC Championship Games. Rece Davis will be joined by Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and Pat McAfee as well as Lee Corso. who is said to be placing a mascot head on for the first time since 2023 live at the show.
