Farmers Day Forecast Update

Thursday, July 18, 2019 - 12:22pm

We are just two short days away from Farmers Day 2019 in the town of China Grove! I will be on hand once again this year as the official weather sponsor of Farmers Day. The forecast continues to look hot for this years event. We are currently looking at a high of around 94° on Saturday afternoon. The good news is there will be plenty of ways to hydrate with various vendors and the downtown restaurants that will be open. Just make sure you pace yourself and stay hydrated. There will be cooling units located under a tent at the Main Stage in Hannah Park. Other locations include Park Street and Centerview. There will be water available at the Information Booth as well.

The feels like temperatures on Saturday afternoon could reach 105° so please be sure to keep that in mind if you typically have breathing issues on extremely hot days. Medical personnel will be on site to assist with any heat related injuries should they occur while the event is going on.

There will be isolated rain chances during the morning and early afternoon hours of Farmers Day but for the most part we will see Mostly Sunny skies throughout the event and clear skies that evening for the Street Dance and Fireworks to cap off Farmers Day. As for the reminder of events at Farmers Day. I will be emceeing the Little Mr/Ms. Farmers Day Pageant again this year. Please feel free to chat with me at Hannah Park before or after the Pageant. I will be on site to provide weather updates to organizers so plans can continue to be adjusted accordingly for any weather impacts. The Rowan County Weather Car will be on display as well. For the full list of events see details below. As always thank you for follow Rowan County Weather and I'll see you at Farmers Day!
