Timing for rain to move through the county today

We have an 80% chance of rain today and this evening. Here is when the rain is expected to move through the county. The good news is most of the day will be dry but overcast. As we head into the early evening hours things will change quickly.

Rain will begin to move into the county around 7pm this evening. Moderate rainfall is expected with some occasional periods of heavy rain possible.

Rain chances become isolated after midnight and begin to taper off during the overnight hours.

We could see accumulations of an inch to three quarters of an inch by the early morning hours of Friday. I will continue to keep you updated right here on Rowan County Weather as the rain moves into and out of the county.
