Rain moves through the area today

We will see rain move through the county and the area today. There is only a General Thunderstorm Risk at this point by the Storms Predictions Center

. 

We will see rain move into the county over the mid morning hours and intensify in the afternoon hours with moderate to heavy downpours possible. I would not rule out a few rumbles of thunder. I am not expecting more than that.

We will see accumulations of around a quarter of an inch or more around the county. Some areas could get close to a half of an inch if the heavy downpours linger.

We will see a high of around 64º which kicks off a cool down for us the remainder of the week. We could even see freezing temperatures for the low on Friday.

The low tonight will bottom out at around 46º so a good time to get those heating units going again.
