The Carolina Wedge is in place
Good Saturday Morning. A Backdoor Cold Front is brining in cooler air from the northeast that is wedging up against the mountains. Giving us overcast skies with some isolated rain chances today. Most of the rain has stayed in placed right up against the eastern slopes of the mountains to our west. However, we can't rule out a few showers breaking containment and moving east during the day today. The high temperature today will be around 61º The temperature probably will not fluctuate much until later this evening when the tempers drop down into the low 50's around the county.

Future Cast has rain chances moving in around the 1pm hour this afternoon. I am not expecting a washout so I wouldn't cancel any outdoor plans. Just don't look for much in the way of sunshine today.

Rainfall accumulation looks to be pretty light for us. I wouldn't expect much more than a tenth of an inch in the rain gauge unless you get very lucky with a decent downpour.

I will provide updates throughout the day right here and on social media. As always thank you for following Rowan County Weather!
