The high today will top out at around 84º here in the county. If you are traveling here is a look at highs in the area.

The low this morning was 58º that will likely be the low for the day. Heres a look at lows around the area as well.

Now lets take a look at the latest advisory from the National Hurricane Center on Irma. If you are planning a trip to South Florida early this week. You need to be aware and have a plan B.

Now the remainder of what I am going to show you is not a forecast but a possibility based on the latest track for Irma. The high pressure system and the trough will determine ultimately the direction Irma will travel. Based on latest model data this is what could happen. Please remember not a forecast at this point. Just a possibility.

Based on latest possible model data it is possible Irma could make landfall somewhere on the Gulf Coast side of south Florida. Again there is still plenty of time and things likely will change. The difference with today's data versus previous data is that the Hurricane Hunters have been able to fly into the storm. This gives us more than just satellite data for the models at this point.

Now don't just get focused on the track. If Irma were to make the run into the southern Gulf Coast of Florida. We would not be immune to the potential rainfall from the storm. Again this is not a forecast just a possibility. However, if the track were to take the potential course I am high, highlighting here we could see rainfall accumulations of around 2.5 to 3 inches around the county.
Now again this is all very preliminary. I wouldn't take this as the definite forecast yet. What i would do is if you are heading anywhere along the southeast or gulf coast. Make a plan B. Don't just assume anything you are seeing in these current forecast is the actual track. There is still so many probabilities that can work themselves out. So don't get caught off guard.
