General Thunderstorm Risk for this evening.

Thursday, August 10, 2017 - 8:38am

Rain chances start to pick back up as we begin to march toward the weekend. Today we are listed under a general thunderstorm risk from the Storms Predictions Center. Nothing severe is likely at this time as models indicate just simple Garden Variety Isolated Thunderstorms for the county this evening.

The Future Cast has our best chance for those isolated Thunderstorms around 7pm this evening. The activity looks to be pretty limited and accumulations are looking pretty low at this point.

Otherwise a generally mild day around the county with the high only reaching around 83º I will keep you updated right here and on social media throughout the day as showers and storms approach and move through the county. As always thank you for following Rowan County Weather!
