Hot Friday and possibly the Hottest day of the Year

Good Friday morning everyone! As we come to the close of another work week. We are closing it out in a blaze. Yesterday was the hottest day of the year so far for the county. However today will take that title away and be even hotter than yesterday. Looking for a high of around 94 with a heat index of around 100. Please limit outdoor activities and more importantly stay hydrated. Do not forget your outside pets and please check on elderly neighbors and loved ones. 

If you are heading out to the town of China Grove for the Farmers day Kickoff tonight. Things look to stay dry. We could see an isolated shower move in late after the festivities are over. I am not expecting to much in the way of accumulation.

Accumulations if we do get any rain will be light looking at around a quarter of an inch. Possibly a half of an inch if a heavy downpour sets up.
