Good Monday Morning! It's been a few weeks since my last Road Closure Report. ere are the current projects slated to finish this year around the county. If you don't see a project listed. The NCDOT does not have a closure date for this year on the project.

The Daugherty Road bridge over I-85 is being replaced as part of the I-85 widening project.

The Lentz Road bridge over I 85 is being replaced as part of the I 85 widening project

Rowan County, North East of Kannapolis SR-1349 (Turkey Rd), Both Directions Near SR-1308(Moose Rd) Road Closed with Detour - Expected Impact to traffic is Medium	Start Time

Turkey Road will be temporarily closed at the bridge location, as crews work to replace the existing bridge. The road closure will begin in the morning of July 10, 2017 and is scheduled to last until October 8, 2017. If the work is completed prior to October 8, 2017, the roadway will be reopened at that time.

Rowan County, Near Cleveland SR-1972 (Chenault Road), Both Directions Near SR-1973(Third Creek Ch Rd) 1 of 2 lanes closed. Expected Impact to traffic is Medium	Start Time

The right lane is closed near Third Creek Church Road for bridge maintenance.

One lane will be closed north of S. River Church Road for inspection of the bridge over the South Yadkin River. All traffic will alternate through the other lane. Motorists are asked to remain alert, expect delays and follow the direction of on scene flaggers.

Rowan County, South of Salisbury SR-2564 (Shive Road), Both Directions Near SR-1006(Organ Church Road) Road Closed with Detour - Expected Impact to traffic is Medium	Start Time

Shive Road will be temporarily closed at the bridge over Second Creek (near the Organ Church Road intersection), as crews work to replace the bridge at this location. The road closure will begin the morning of June 19, 2017 and is scheduled to last until October 2, 2017. If the work is completed prior to October 2, 2017, the roadway will be reopened at that time.
