Rain returns this afternoon

We have had a few spotty showers around the county already this morning. However, the heavier rain is coming. I am expecting a line of showers to move in around the 1-3 timeframe this afternoon depending on where you are in the county. 

The rain will continue to move through the county during the afternoon and evening with a few breaks off and on. I am not looking for much in the way of precipitation before midnight. Tomorrow is when most of the rain will move through the county so be prepared for a wet Monday. As far as todays accumulation I would expect anywhere from a quarter to a half of an inch around the county. 

I will continue to monitor the showers and storms as they move through the area and into the county. I will keep you posted right here and on social media. As always thank you for following Rowan County Weather!
