Thursday Weather Update

Thursday, September 29, 2016 - 10:42am

Cooler drier air has been toying with us all week. It has stayed to our west providing us with these rainy afternoons and evenings we have been dealing with and offering a tease that it would come through the area to give us cooler temps. The forecast hope ( I say hope because the front is just not moving) is that the front passes through today and we dry out beginning tomorrow and begin to enjoy some cool crisp evenings.

Today we will see a high of around 80º today

The dew points will be in the low 70;'s keeping the air thick and a little oppressive out there.

Isolated showers and storms are possible again today but I am not looking for much in the way of accumulation from them.

Accumulations of less than a tenth of an inch are expected form any showers or storms that pass through today.

The low tonight will bottom out around 60º

I will provide updates throughout the day as showers and storms develop and move through the county. Enjoy your Thursday and as always. Thank you for following Rowan County Weather!
