Tuesday Weather Update
We have certainly had a wet start to the work week and day 2 will be no exception as more rain is and will move through the county throughout the day. We are definitely making up for some lost rainfall this month and it looks like September decided to save the best for last.
The high today will top out around 80º

The Dew Points will keep the outside air feeling a little thick and uncomfortable at times. Obviously there is a lot of moisture in the air

The rain will be isolated throughout the day but a line of storms is likely to develop later tonight much like it did last night bringing in another round of heavy downpours.

We received a total of 3.68 inches of rain officially yesterday at the Rowan County Airport and models are indicating we could see another half inch or more in the county before the day is over.

The low tonight will bottom out around 62º

Keep the rain gear handy throughout the rest of the day and this evening. I will continue to provide updates right here and on social media. As always thank you for following Rowan County Weather!
