Saturday Weather Update
For the first time in a few days rain chances exist in the forecast. Today will be a hot and humid day that could end with a few isolated showers and thunderstorms.
The high today will top out around 92º

Dew points will be in the low 70's making the outside air feel oppressive.

We will see isolated showers and storms develop later in the afternoon and evening. Once these storms begin to develop and move into the county I will provide updates right here and on my social media outlets.

Accumulation of around an inch or more is possible if you get under a heavy downpour. Remember these storms will be isolated so it could be raining at your neighbors house down the road and doing nothing at your house.

My only concern for severe weather will be if storms develop in the early afternoon around the county. CAPE values will be high in the early afternoon but then they decline as we get closer to sunset.

I will post updates throughout the day here and on social media. As always thank you for following Rowan County Weather! Enjoy your Saturday!
