Severe Weather Possible Today

There is a chance we see severe weather in the county this afternoon and evening. The models are showing a few things that support the possibility of that severe weather occurring. I think we see main threats of heavy downpours, frequent lightning, small hail and damaging winds form these storms. CAPE levels are a little high for this afternoon and evening which will fuel these storms as they move through the area.

I expect the line of storms to move in late afternoon and early evening.

The highs today will be around 94º

Total accumulation could range over an inch is some places but I think these levels are a bit increased because of the hail threat.

I will provide update here and on social media throughout the day as storms move into the area and the county.
