Weekly Drought Update

Over the past few weeks I have been providing drought information here on Rowan County Weather. There were abnormal drought conditions that were starting to persist in the northwestern portion of the county. Specifically in the Cleveland area. The good news is. All signs of the drought are gone for now!

In the past week the Cleveland area has received 3.15 inches of rain! This now puts that area for the year at 21.55 inches of rain and just 1.13 inches below normal on the year.

This will be the last drought update I will provide until conditions warrant changes to our current readings around the county.
