Thursday Weather Update

The story for today will be rain once again. The good news is chances for severe weather are marginal. Let's take a look at the factors that will play into today's forecast.

The high today will be in the upper 80's to around 89º

The Dew Points will be in the low 70's making the air feel oppressive outside.

As far as storm chances go we have a few things playing in our favor today. I do think we see some rain around the county but not likely we see anything like we have seen from these storms over the past few days. The risk for severe weather today is marginal.

The CAPE or Thunderstorm fuel is going to be pretty low today. That will keep things from sparking and becoming severe.

I think we will see rain and storms move into the county around 4pm or a little after today and a few areas may benefit from some much needed rain.

Accumulations of over an inch is possible with heavy downpours that could move into some areas of the county.

Please remember if you are out and about today. Check your car before getting out! Don't leave children or pets in the car without the air conditioner running. Internal temperatures can reach over 100º in less than 10 minutes in todays heat.
